Eggnog (Grandma Morgan)

6 egg yolks
1 lb. powdered sugar
Vanilla to taste
6 egg whites—Beat till dry or until they form peaks.

Separate the egg yolks carefully from the whites.  Beat yolks, sugar and vanilla until thick.  Set aside.  Fold batter and egg whites together.  It will be thick.  Do not over mix, keep it fluffy.
To serve:  Spoon batter into a glass or cup.  Fill the glass about 3/4 full then add milk.  Sprinkle with nutmeg and stir gently as you drink it.  If you want the drink thinner - add more cold milk.  Remember to serve quickly because it will separate and not be as good.

First fill your trusty blender with spinach - lots of it!  Then fill the container with water filling in around the spinach.  Pulse to blend into bright green water.

Green Smoothie Camouflaged!! (Stefanie)

Lots of greens – organic baby spinach, kale, etc.
water
1-2 Bananas
Variety of list below:
-         Fresh:  whole organic apple (seeds and all)
-         Fresh pineapple–do not core it–great fiber**this is my favorite ingredient!
-         Orange–just remove rind
-         Frozen: (sometimes I skip the fresh fruit –but I always add frozen berries)
-         Strawberries-the berries are a must for us!
-         Blueberries–if you add this smoothie will not be green
-         Mixed frozen fruit from Sam’s or Costco
Spoonful of frozen fruit concentrate for sweetness or Agave
scoop of ground flax

Puts lots and lots of greens in blender.  If you use Kale remove the stem.  Next pour some water in.  Pulse until you have a beautiful bright green “water”.   Add a fresh banana or two. Then add various fresh and frozen fruits.  Add a big spoonful of frozen Juice concentrate, such as orange or pineapple for sweetness, or a little Agave.  Also add a scoop of ground flax. You can grind flax seed yourself and keep it in the freezer or purchase ground flax seed at Costco.  Blend until smooth!   Watch it change colors and enjoy!
